Manager Compliance

About the Position
This position leads compliance and investigation activities at WorkCover WA. The Employer Compliance branch is responsible for ensuring Western Australian employers comply with their obligations under the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981.
Key responsibilities of the Employer Compliance Branch include:
- Conducting enquiries when insurance policies expire without renewal.
- Assessing insurer requests to cancel insurance policies.
- Conducting investigations into:
- Suspected breaches of an employer’s legal requirement to hold workers’ compensation insurance
- Late or irregular compensation payments to injured workers
- Fraud
- Other breaches of the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981
- Proactive campaigns to educate employers and identify non-compliance.
- Regional education and compliance visits.
- Managing claims where an injury occurred with an uninsured employer.
To be successful in this position prospective applicants should possess experience leading a successful team in a compliance and/or regulation environment. Case management skills, knowledge and experience will be highly regarded.
