Are you a highly skilled and passionate Music Teacher?
Instrumental Music School Services are seeking an experienced Multi-Instrumental teacher to teach woodwind, brass and percussion instruments from year 5 through to year 12 and to conduct ensembles as required. This is for a specific role in the Mt Barker region.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work with students in small group classes in a highly specialised field.
The successful applicant should be able to work independently, demonstrate energy and passion for the subject and to be highly skilled at playing on woodwind instruments. The applicant will also demonstrate the ability to play brass and percussion instruments.
The successful applicant should also have the ability to work independently in a range of school settings with a high level of interpersonal skills. The successful applicant will need to adopt a flexible approach to their working day and would embrace the opportunity to work within a diverse and changing environment.
This is a specialised role. Skill in teaching instrumental music is essential. The successful applicant will be proficient in teaching and performance of flute, clarinet, saxophone, brass instruments and percussion as well as conducting concert band. In the first instance, only applicants with teaching qualifications will be considered. Where there are no suitable applicants with teaching qualifications, applicants without teaching qualifications may be considered.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
