This is a ten (10) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2019 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency
Boyup Brook District High School (DHS) is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Cleaner-in-Charge, who is able to lead other cleaners to establish and maintain a high standard of cleaning within the School. The successful applicant will be required to work a split shift - before school hours and after school hours.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to be an effective team leader, whilst being responsible for organising and supervising other school cleaners, including arranging relief staff, job inductions for new staff, and liaising with the relevant line manager on cleaning matters.
To be successful in this role you will be reliable, honest, organised, punctual and possess the ability to work well, both individually and as part of a team. You will undertake cleaning of allocated internal and external areas, conduct regular cleaning inspections with your line manager, and record/respond to any issues and concerns raised.
Boyup Brook is situated in the South West of Western Australia approximately 270km from Perth.
Boyup Brook DHS is a level 5 district high school catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 10 with students moving on to other schools for the Year 11/12 component of their secondary education. Students are drawn from families that are involved in farming, and local business. The school is located on two separate sites, with students from K - 6 educated at the primary site and students from years 7-10 at the Middle School site 600 metres away. The school was selected as an Independent Public School in 2012.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. ELIGIBILITY

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
