Falls Road Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Primary Teacher to join their school community.
Falls Road PS is situated in the Darling Range hills, 30 minutes from the city. It is nestled in a bush setting that provides a lovely, natural playground for the students. The school grounds have been developed to maintain much of the natural bushland and this has been complimented by the establishment of a large bush Nature Play Area. The school also provides purpose built play areas such as basketball and netball courts; cricket, soccer and football ovals and climbing equipment for students.
Falls Road PS is in its eight year as an Independent Public School. We have an excellent partnership with our parents and community who support the school with a wide range of activities. We have a blend of youthful and experienced staff who are committed and dedicated to assisting students to achieve their best across a broad curriculum.
Our school has a comprehensive positive reinforcement process which has been complemented by the introduction of the Bounce Back Program which focuses on developing student resiliency. Our students are supported in developing attitudes and values of care and concern for self, others and the environment.

Suitable applicants will have a demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students and determine their learning needs, effectively use assessment to support the delivery of appropriately aligned programs, consistently focus on visible learning, be capable of communicating this to administration and parents and use technology to motivate, stimulate and complement student learning styles. You will be part of a highly motivated, collaborative team of administrators, teachers, support staff and parents, committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for students and who take great pride in their school’s excellent achievements.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
