The Coordinating Locksmith is responsible for the coordination, sourcing, requisitioning and full technical support of all lock smithing in Departmental adult and juvenile institutions, administration areas and community based services as required.
The encumbent will be required to liaise with the Principal Project Officer Maintenance, prison management and contractors to ensure a secure, safe and reliable service and provide a 24 hour support service as required, including responding to all emergency enquiries.
This opportunity is being offered initially as a six (6) month fixed term contract with possible extensions or permanency subject to business needs.
Trade qualification relevant to lock smithing.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in lock scheduling.
C Class Drivers Licence as the successful applicant will, on occasion, be required to travel to regional facilities to train staff on how to carry out basic maintenance and resolve security issues.
