We are seeking a Senior Revenue Officer to join the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage in our Financial Services team, within the Business and Corporate Services division. If you have skills and experience in accounts payable and/or receivable, complex financial processing, liaising with external and internal customers and have an eye for process improvement, we encourage you to apply.
In this role you would be responsible for supporting the Accounts Receivable Team Leader in managing work flows within an accounts receivable team, identifying opportunities for process improvement and assisting with system changes. You will also provide assistance with debt management issues. A relevant tertiary qualification is not essential but would be desired.
This is a newly created permanent, full-time position; however consideration may be given to applicants seeking part-time opportunities. Suitable applicants may be considered for appointment to similar (permanent, fixed term, full-time or part-time) vacancies for a period of twelve (12) months from the initial date of the appointment.
The Financial Services branch provides financial strategy, services and advice on all finance matters for the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage. We deliver the services effectively and efficiently ensuring business needs are met, risks are managed and outcomes are delivered in accordance with Government policy initiatives and governance requirements.

To be successful in this role, you need to demonstrate;
- Relevant experience and knowledge of financial systems, complex financial analysis, revenue processes and problem solving skills;
- The ability to supervise and mentor staff as required;
- Experience or aptitude in the development of new and innovating ways of working to improve processes and customer service; and
- The ability to build strong relationships with internal business partners and external stakeholders.
