We are transforming our Bulk Recruitment function to balance big picture with operational needs for the Department’s entry-level operational staff, across metropolitation and regional areas of Western Australia.
Role
In this leadership position you will motivate, coach and mentor your team to ensure successful delivery of the Department’s volume recruitment program of works. As a seasoned recruitment professional you will ensure the right people, with the right attributes are in place to provide critical services to the WA community. You will lead your team to deliver high quality recuitment and selection process for entry-level operational staff, such as Prison Officers, Community Corrections Officers, Youth Justice Officers and Youth Custodial Officers.
You will take a pro-active approach and will research, recommend and implement effective and innovative sourcing strategies to ensure a strong pipeline of candidates is recruited, trained and available to meet the Department’s workforce requirements. You will ensure key project milestones are achieved and will lead your team to deliver high quality and timely recruitment outcomes. You will prepare compelling advertising content, develop candidate profiles, coordinate the screening of applications and provide informative and accurate briefing reports and recruitment analytics.
This is an exciting time to join the Department of Justice and lead a newly created team. This position is a fixed term appointment for 12 months, with a possible extension or permanency.
Special Requirements
C Class Drivers Licence.
Possible requirement for intrastate travel.
