The Department of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industries are seeking to establish a pool of Desktop Support Officer for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made as vacancies arise over the next twelve months from the initial date of appointment from this pool.

About the role
We are seeking to create a pool of experienced and qualified Desktop Support Officers to provide professional and responsive first level technical support and troubleshooting through the provision of ICT service-desk.
Key responsibilities include providing support to end-users within the office information systems environment and training to users in the use of office information systems.
The successful candidates will provide efficient and effective support services ensuring excellent customer service.

Conditions
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the DLGSC and/or the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period of time. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered fixed term, part- time and full- time.

This role is based at Gordon Stephenson House, 140 William Street, Perth.
