Are you a positive and talented teacher who strives to enhance their student’s educational outcomes?
Australind Senior High School (SHS) are seeking to establish a pool of talented Physical and Health Education teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies that may arise from Term 4, 2018 through to Term 4 2019. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time within the life of this pool.

Suitable applicants should be able to substantiate a strong commitment to the development of their own pedagogy via avenues such as targeted professional learning, collaboration with colleagues, membership of a professional learning team, use of student feedback surveys and formative assessment.
The suitable applicants will ideally be able to teach the existing West Australian Curriculum Health and Physical Education courses from Year 7 to Year 10 students, including diverse programs in Health, General Physical Education, Specialised Physical Education and Outdoor Education, In addition, applicants with the ability to teach the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses for Year 11 and 12 and /or relevant Certificate courses would be advantageous
Applicants with the qualifications to teach Outdoor Education inclusive of Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation, Sports Coaching and hold a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are encouraged to apply for this pool. Staff with the ability to manage key programs at Australind SHS are also encouraged to apply for this position. Suitable applicants will ideally be versatile and committed to student achievement as well as being willing to commit to the school community.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
