Appointment Pool
Albany Secondary Education Support Centre (SESC) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2019 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2019 school year according to the needs of the school.
We are looking for enthusiastic, highly professional, organised and committed Secondary Education Support teachers who are seeking exciting and rewarding challenges. Successful applicants would be able to cater to differentiated student needs, manage class teams, and liaise with parents and external agencies to meet the educational and social needs of the students. Applicants who are passionate about teaching in a vibrant education support environment are encouraged to apply.
Successful applicants are expected to be committed to our school Positive Behaviour priorities of respect, positive, safe and responsible and our commitment to the Positive Behaviour in Schools program. They will also have an excellent knowledge in teaching students with specialised learning needs, disability and health conditions. Knowledge or experience in implementing ASDAN and Visible Learning principles would be beneficial.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
