About the role
We are seeking a suitably qualified person to fill the position of Senior Policy Officer.
In this role you will develop and maintain high level government and cultural partnerships, policies and programs to inform the strategic planning and policy process for the Department. This position has particular responsibility for Indigenous, cultural heritage and collections areas of work in line with our Strategic Plan.
This position is fixed term until 8 February 2019 with a possibility of extension and/or permanency. At the conclusion of the initial engagement, an extension may be offered or the Department may choose to readvertise the opportunity.

Conditions
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the DLGSC and/or the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period of time. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered fixed term, part- time and full- time.

This role is based at Gordon Stephenson House, 140 William Street, Perth.
