The position
We are looking for a Research and Statistical Officer to join our small, friendly team in our Strategic Policy and Legislation Branch.
Drawing on your experience in data analysis, you will collate and evaluate data to identify trends and anomalies, and undertake research and analysis to provide financial and economic advice. Your well-developed communication skills will assist you to produce succinct reports and oral briefings to support the work of the branch.
This position is located in East Perth.
What do you require to successfully undertake the role?
- Demonstrated data analysis skills and highly developed computer literacy, with experience in accessing and manipulating multiple data sources and systems.
- Well-developed written communication skills and experience in translating data into meaningful information for briefings and report writing.
- A mineral resource economics background or current studies in this area would be highly regarded.
