Position Profile:
As the Director Corporate Operations you will lead the corporate operations functions across the Armadale Kalamunda Group (AKG).
This role presents an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to utilise their leadership, management and project management skills across multi-faceted areas within the Armadale Kalamunda Group. The Portfolio requires leadership, management and governance oversight at a local level of; Business and financial services, Health service support services and Patient Information Services.
A key requirement of the role is providing effective values-based leadership across a large workforce with multiple disciplines and supporting the Executive Director and the organisation in developing strategies and systems in line with operational priorities. The role also works in collaboration with East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) centralised services to ensure effective Work Health and Safety systems are in place and well-governed. Comprehensive understanding of the clinical and corporate governance requirements associated with the portfolio is a key requirement of the role.
To succeed in this position you will have strong leadership and negotiation skills, and demonstrated capability operating as a senior executive leading and managing resources within a complex and multifaceted environment. Your substantial experience in managing a broad range of staff and functional areas/related business systems will also be essential.
High level communication and interpersonal skills will be critical as will your proven capability leading a range of corporate functions at a strategic level. Your ability to develop collaborative relationships will be highly regarded as will your focus on achieving outcomes while simultaneously providing effective, high quality corporate services across the AKG. While not essential, formal qualifications or experience in project management will be highly regarded as will an understanding of the Acute Care Sector.
Area Profile:
Armadale Health Service is a general hospital focused on providing a range of high quality health care services in the community. The hospital is equipped with an Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit and provides high-quality general medical and surgery services, rehabilitation, maternity, paediatric and neonatal, renal medicine and dialysis services and ambulatory care. The service also provides comprehensive inpatient and community (adult and older adult) mental health services.
Kalamunda Hospital offers a specialist inpatient palliative care service and comprehensive specialist medical, nursing and allied health care to patients, carers and families facing life limiting illness. The hospital also provides day surgical procedures.
