Alkimos Beach Primary School (PS) is seeking an experienced, energetic and passionate Physical and Health Education Teacher to join their team of teachers.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic in the promotion of Physical Education and Health within the school and will be responsible for the coordination and organisation of all school sporting events. The successful applicant will be well organised, motivated and committed to developing positive relationships and high expectations for all students. They will demonstrate knowledge and competencies in the Physical and Health Education component of the Western Australian Curriculum and reporting schedule. This role includes teaching students from PP to Year 6 and working collaboratively with Kindergarten staff to provide an effective fundamental movement skills program.
Alkimos Beach PS is looking for a committed, professional and collaborative teacher who is able to work effectively in teams. The suitable applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills in order to develop effective relationships with students, staff and parents. It is desirable that the successful applicant demonstrates a high level of collaborative practice together with interpersonal skills which will enable effective participation and engagement within the school. The successful applicant will be able to work in a team environment and must be prepared to participate in whole school and phase planning, and curriculum development. They will be a passionate educator, have a contemporary teaching pedagogy and be committed to making a difference in the lives of students.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a staff member of this new Independent Public School. The suitable applicant will create an effective, engaging and inclusive learning environment based on high expectations. They will use assessment data to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs, set targets and plan for differentiated learning opportunities for all students while addressing the targets of the school’s Business Plan.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
