We are looking for a Health and Physical Education Specialist Teacher to join our team – someone who shares our passion and has the skills to deliver on the goals of our school business plan, Edney 2020. Edney Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary – Physical Education teacher to join our friendly team.

Edney’s Physical Education teacher provides a dynamic, motivational and engaging program to students at all year levels in line with the school philosophy in physical education and health. The successful applicant would have well-developed collaborative skills and a strong knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, linking planning, teaching and assessment that is responsive to the needs of our students. The successful applicant will have sound leadership and organisational skills and will lead the management of initiatives which includes school carnivals, health and wellbeing practises for students and staff as well as interschool events.

The successful applicant will be have the balance of skills to be both a team member and leader, working collaboratively with staff, external providers and partner schools to expand the opportunities for our community to develop skills and understandings for a total wellbeing approach to Health and Physical Education.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. TRAINING
