About the Role
The Registrar will take responsibility for the management of a team of Arbitrators as well as working collaboratively with the General Manager Conciliation and Arbitration Services to ensure delivery of an efficient and high quality arbitration service.
As Registrar you will exercise the functions of an Arbitrator including providing written reasons for decisions.
Arbitrators are independent decision makers on workers’ compensation disputes and preside over arbitrations to ensure fair and efficient resolution of those disputes.
The Registrar position will be filled on a contract basis for a 5 year term.

Keys to success in this role
Applicants must be able to demonstrate an impressive track record in dispute resolution, litigation and effective case management. An understanding of, or experience in the WA workers’ compensation system or in personal injury litigation is desirable, but not essential.
In addition you should be able to demonstrate superior people management skills, critical thinking ability and a goal driven and efficiency focused approach to your work.
To undertake this important role you must be a legal practitioner of not less than five years’ standing as defined in the Legal Profession Act 2008 with relevant post admission experience in a legal role.
