The ERA has three main functions. The first is to ensure utilities are operating in the best long term interests of consumers. About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a suitable candidate to join us as Senior Project Officer in our Regulation and Inquiries Division on a fixed term contract with the possibility of extension or permanency.
The core responsibility of the position is to provide professional project management support, to assist in the review and evaluation of specified regulatory, legislative, economic, financial, policy and operational matters specifically the revision of Western Power’s access arrangement. This position assists the ERA in the preparation of draft reports and decisions in accordance with relevant terms of reference, legislative requirements and public consultation processes. This position also assists in the management and oversight of outsourced economic, engineering and legal consultancy work.
Suitable candidate will possess relevant experience and qualifications, excellent communication skills, strong conceptual and analytical skills and the ability to contribute to an innovative regulatory environment. You will be able to prioritise workloads to meet required deadlines and will have a proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team. The position also requires the ability to prepare clear and well-structured reports to effectively communicate complex economic, commercial and regulatory issues in a form that non-technical readers can understand.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy.
