What are we offering?
The Department is seeking applications from graduates to participate in its Graduate Program (Pool) commencing early 2018. Graduates will undertake an 18 month development program consisting of three rotational placements prior to being permanently placed in one of the following areas:
- Court and Tribunal Services;
- Strategic Reform (including Policy and Aboriginal Services)
- Finance
The Graduate Program offers the chance for recent graduates, of all ages and backgrounds, to develop and strengthen their skills as well as gain practical work experience across the Department in a range of justice functions and issues that will enhance their future careers. This recruitment pool may be utilised for other Level 2 opportunities over the next 12 months.
What support will you get?
In addition to working alongside dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues, Graduate Officers will undertake a structured learning and development program which will expose them the to the breadth of work undertaken by the Department and its leadership.
Throughout the program, Graduates will be supported by a Program Coordinator, senior mentor, supervisors and past graduates.

Applicants must have completed a tertiary (Bachelor's degree or diploma) qualification from a university within the last 2 years in the following academic disciplines: Accounting, Arts, Business/Finance, Commerce, Communication, Economics, Human Resources, Indigenous and Communities Studies, Information Technology, Knowledge Management, Law, Legal/Justice/Criminology Studies, Policy, Politics, Procurement, Project Management, Psychology, Social Science, Social Work or Statistics.
