Yanchep Beach Primary School (PS) is seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher to join their team.
As a teacher at Yanchep Beach PS you will work in an environment committed to the whole school approach, have self-reflection and continuous self-improvement, and accept leadership roles and responsibilities beyond their own classroom.
The successful applicant will, ideally be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, innovative and able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills while working collaboratively in a team environment. The successful applicant will also be able to implement successful classroom cooperative learning strategies as part of our whole school business plan.
Yanchep Beach PS is committed to whole school approaches, the Australian Curriculum, the Letters and Sounds program, Literacy and Numeracy Blocks and the use of First Steps teaching strategies. We offer a phase/team environment which aims to deliver a well-planned and structured approach to facilitate consistency of curriculum delivery and interdependence amongst colleagues to grow and reduce workload through sharing resources and ideas.
Our staff lead by example, constantly challenging themselves to deliver a differentiated curriculum to appeal to the variety of learners and to support the individual students journey to becoming lifelong learners.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be appointed to other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
