We are seeking to establish a pool of Teachers – Primary for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Early Childhood trained teachers will be considered for Early Childhood positions. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

Woodvale PS is seeking applicants who pursue excellence in teaching. Our teachers are focused on having high expectations, being collaborative and student-focused, using evidence-based approaches and developing supportive learning environments.

Applicants will ideally possess a high level of curriculum knowledge and focus on evidence-based instructional practices to deliver excellent outcomes for all students. Suitable applicants should be committed to continuous self-improvement, developed through self-reflection, collaboration and responding to feedback.

You will ideally have experience in working in collaborative teams and value processes that utilise student data to measure student learning and the impact of teaching. We will be embarking on the implementation of a whole school instructional framework, which is aligned to the Department of Education Teaching for Impact initiative. Strong instructional knowledge, connected to these systemic priorities, will be highly desirable.

Suitable applicants should ideally be prepared to contribute to reflect on and review whole school approaches, and work towards addressing the targets set in our school’s new strategic plan. We continue to work towards establishing connected whole school practices in Reading and Writing.

Delivering an orderly learning environment, through a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework will be important to the role. Our students are supported in their social and emotional wellbeing using evidence-based approaches, including the Zones of Regulation program. In addidition suitable applicants ideally should possess the ability to cater for students with additional needs and have understanding and experience in Students At Educational Risk (SAER), and possess a well-developed interpersonal acumen, be resilient, trustworthy and possess high levels of self-awareness. They will use these skills to create a welcoming and vibrant environment for students and families
