This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026

The Role

CLC is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Technologies teacher to join our collegiate team and help shape engaging, future-focused learning experiences in Design and Technology and Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school committed to high care, strong student engagement and innovative teaching practices.

The successful applicant will ideally contribute to a growing school and join a staff committed to success for all students while making a meaningful impact within a dynamic college community. The successful applicant will ideally play a key role in developing and leading engaging programs that foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and real-world problem solving. They will ideally support a diverse range of student abilities, including academic extension students, while creating purposeful and inclusive learning experiences for all learners. Opportunities for leadership within the Technologies department, along with the potential to design and further develop specialist school-based programs, are also available.

Teaching across a range of Design and Technology and Engineering disciplines, including Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Electronics, Coding and Materials Design and Technology, the successful applicant will ideally be student-centred, relationship-focused, motivated and collaborative. You will work alongside an innovative Technologies team to strengthen teaching and learning across the Learning Area and contribute to the ongoing growth of our School-Based Specialist Engineering program.

At CLC, you will have access to outstanding modern facilities and resources designed to support authentic Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) learning, including a 3D print farm, contemporary 3D printers, desktop laser cutters, CNC routers, VR technology and specialist learning spaces that enhance our School-Based Specialist Engineering Program.

Experience delivering Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Engineering Studies and/or Certificate II in Engineering Pathways is highly desirable, though not essential, along with the capacity to teach Materials Design & Technology (Wood and Metal). We welcome educators who are passionate about technologies and committed to broadening opportunities and pathways for students through engaging, future-focused learning experiences.
