About The Role:

Senior Procurement Officer (Level 5)

Currently there is four (4) permanent full-time or part-time positions available for filling within the following teams:

  • Three (3) positions in the HealthCustomer Team
  • One (1) position in the Education & Training Customer Team

The Senior Procurement Officer provides professional procurement advice to clients and develops and/or manages medium and low risk whole of government or departmental contracts. This involves developing business cases, procurement plans, tender and evaluation documents, and contract management plans.The position will provide support and advice for all types of contracts; consult with government agencies, industry and the community, and maintain positive and effective stakeholder relationships. This position also works closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote compliance with the Department’s standards, processes and procedures.

Procurement Manager (Level 6)

Currently there is four (4) permanent full-time or part-time and one (1) full-time or part-time, fixed-term appointment for 12 months available for filling, within the following teams:

  • Two (2) positions in the Health Customer Team
  • One (1) position in the Education & Training Customer Team
  • One (1) permanent and one (1) temporary position (in the Strategic Procurement Services (SPS) Team

The Procurement Manager roles provide professional procurement advice to clients, and develop and/or manage, significant and medium-risk whole of government or departmental contracts. This involves developing business cases and procurement plans, tender documents and evaluation reports, and contract management plans.

The positions will provide expert support and advice for all types of procurement; consult with government agencies, industry, and the community, and maintains positive and effective stakeholder relationships. This position also works closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote compliance with the Department’s standards, processes, and procedures

About You:

We are seeking motivated procurement professionals with demonstrated experience in delivering complex procurement and contract management outcomes in a public sector or regulated environment.

You will possess strong communication skills, with an ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders and tailor advice to a range of audiences. You will bring well developed analytical, time management and problem-solving capabilities, sound judgement, and a high level of attention to detail.

You will have proven experience in procurement planning, sourcing, evaluation, and contract development, supported by a solid understanding of the WA Procurement Rules.

We seek someone who shares our vision and values and has the energy and drive to see that goals are achieved, with an ability to realign priorities when required. The ideal candidate will also have a sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite.       

These positions operate in the Personal Leadership context. You will be expected to build and nurture relationships and be willing to seek feedback and learn.
