About the role
We are currently seeking candidates with experience and expertise in Training and Assessment to plan, develop and deliver the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
The lecturer's primary responsibility is to deliver training, facilitate learning and conduct assessments in ways that are student-centred, responsive and inclusive. Lecturers are expected to engage in professional learning activities related to their delivery area. To maintain high-quality teaching, they should stay current with technological advancements and industry developments through ongoing professional development, enabling them to provide relevant, up-to-date knowledge and advice to NMTAFE and industry partners where appropriate.
Relevant Qualification and Experience
To be eligible to apply for this position, you must hold one of the following qualifications:
- TAE50111 / TAE50116 / TAE50122 – Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
- TAE50211 / TAE50216 – Diploma of Training Design and Development.
In addition, you must have at least 5 years of industry experience, with a demonstrated ability to engage and support a diverse range of learners.
There is a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET), as defined by the Registration Standards 2025 (2025 Standards), or their successors.
The minimum qualification required is:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116); or
- A secondary teaching qualification, together with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024).
