The Opportunity
The Metropolitan Cemeteries Board (MCB) is seeking an

complete a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens
while gaining valuable, hands-on experience across our beautifully
maintained grounds.
As part of the program, you’ll build practical horticultural
skills, learn sustainable land management practices, and contribute
to the care of culturally significant spaces. Working in this
unique environment offers more than technical training - you will

supporting landscaping projects across MCB sites - gaining diverse,
real-world experience in a supportive team environment.
Applications are open to all, with First Nations people
and those under 25 strongly encouraged to apply.
This recruitment pool will be used to fill one
immediate Apprentice Horticulturist position based
at Fremantle Cemetery. The pool may be used to
fill future vacancies across other MCB sites including Karrakatta,
Pinnaroo as they arise over the next 12 months.
