About the opportunity
There is currently one (1) permanent position available for immediate filling.
This position is located at Hillarys.
We are seeking a proactive Business Support Officer within a customer-focussed environment who contributes to the efficient delivery of services by providing business support to the Director and other senior staff. In this role, you will undertake a range of operational activities and support the implementation of strategies and initiatives. You will also assist in the development, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of business processes, practices, and protocols.
About You
We are looking for individuals who can build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
We are interested in hearing from people who have experience in:
- Providing business and administrative support services, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, recording meeting outcomes, maintaining registers and databases, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Invoice processing, and basic financial administration in a government environment.
- Monitoring and coordinating approvals associated with establishment data and staff recruitment
- Supervision of frontline personnel
- Maintaining accurate records and effective correspondence and publication management systems.
- Fisheries exemption application processing and coordination

DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
