Position
Profile: Consultant Anaesthetist
leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist anaesthesia
services to patients, promotes patient safety and quality of care,
provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision and
education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service
Medical Practitioners and other health workers. In collaboration
with the Head of Department and other Consultants, works to achieve
national, state and EMHS performance standards and targets.
Consultant Anaesthetist works within the scope of clinical practice
as defined and recommended by the EMHS Area Medical Credentialing
Committee.
Other
Conditions: WA Health engages staff in
positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require
applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity
checking as part of the appointment process. As well as undertaking
a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be
required to undertake a working with children check (if required
for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. We may ask
