Eligibility to
Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must
have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an
Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and
work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent
appointments).

Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust

Whilst this
selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy,

Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12)
months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment

Position
Profile: The General Practitioner will, as a member of a
multidisciplinary team, provide holistic best practice medical care
and advice to clients, The Practitioner is responsible for the
provision of best practice, evidence based work in collaboration
with Radiologists, surgeons, radiographers, nursing staff and other
members of a multidisciplinary team with particular emphasis on the
assessment and management of patient results. Provides leadership,
orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant,
for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and
other health workers. In collaboration with the Head of Department
and other Consultants works to achieve national, State and EMHS
performance standards and targets. Works within the Scope of
Clinical Practice as defined and recommended by the EMHS Area
Medical Credentialing Committee.
