This vacancy is for Permanent Full-Part Time, Fixed Term-Part Time appointment. Fixed Term appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

What is our Senior Occupational Therapist role?

As a Senior Occupational Therapist at in Older Adult Mental Health Services, you will be responsible for the provision of an advanced level of clinical occupational therapy services to clients of the older adult mental health service. A valued member of the multidisciplinary team, the Senior Occupational Therapist provides consultation, functional assessment, group and individual interventions at an advanced level to an inpatient caseload. As a senior member of the Allied Health team, you will mentor and support staff within the therapy services team, including junior Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants. You will also collaborate with colleagues, assist the Allied Health Coordinator in service improvements, and have opportunities to represent your discipline through committee membership, in-house education and working groups.

This position offers variety, autonomy and a chance to be creative and make a big difference to the lives of older adults. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with experience in inpatient, geriatric, and/or mental health settings.
