This
is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 6
or 12 months, with possibility of extension(s).
Each
successful applicant will need to complete at least 6 months of
General Medicine training term within the first 12-month period of
selection to the program.
Suitable
applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be
made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from
this pool until 30/11/2026.
Salary:
Registrar Year 1-7 $155,932 to $208,619 p.a. (inclusive of
base salary, 12% superannuation and professional development
allowance at 3 September 2026)
Position Profile:
The General Medicine Advanced Trainee
Registrar provides a high-quality clinical service to hospital
patients. The incumbent will work under the supervision of the
physicians and within a multi-disciplinary team to review the
general medical needs of the patients. They will provide teaching
and support to Resident Medical Officers and Interns as well as
nursing and allied health staff. This position offers State-wide
advanced training, rotating through WA teaching hospitals,
peripheral and country hospitals and private hospitals.

Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the
Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH
provides a comprehensive range of clinical service including
trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general
medicine, general surgery and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only
comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre
in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for
neurosurgery and liver transplants.
