at Mirrabooka clinic
These are Permanent full-time positions at 80
hours per fortnight, but we would also consider part time or job
share.
What is our Clinical
nurse role?
The MHPHDS Community Adult Mental Health
Stream provides evidence based, specialised mental health
services. The service is committed to working alongside
service providers, consumers and carer stakeholders, to promote
optimal mental health for those referred to our service. Each
community team provides case management to ensure holistic health
care while practical and achievable care plans are developed
collaboratively with the consumer, family, carer and other services
to promote sustained recovery. The consumer is supported to feel
optimistic for their recovery and foster a sense of hope and their
capacity to change is encouraged.
Mirrabooka community mental health service is
in one of Western Australia’s most multicultural suburbs with
roughly 72% of residents have parents born overseas, with strong
Vietnamese, Arabic and Macedonian communities many residents speak
languages other than English. Working at Mirrabooka clinic provides
mental health workers insight and understanding of the beliefs and
values that define the communities and how this relates to the
experience of mental illness. You will be joining a friendly
diverse multidisciplinary team that fosters cultural intelligence
and innovative solutions to provide culturally appropriate
interventions to this diverse population. We invite applications

We currently have two
clinical nurse positions available:
Position number 700310 Assessment
and Treatment Team:
The Clinical Nurse works with consumers who
are referred to the community mental health service and provides
comprehensive assessment of need, risk management and brief
interventions up to 12 weeks using a range of evidenced based
interventions in collaboration with the multidisciplinary
team.
Position number 708050 Continuing
Treatment Team:
The Clinical nurse works with consumers in
their home and community providing case management and coordination
of care using a range of therapeutic interventions, education,
counselling and supporting carers and family. The unique nature of
partnering with consumers to achieve their goals and personal
recovery brings professional satisfaction in a community mental
health nursing setting.

Eligibility to
