THE OPPORTUNITY

The State Intelligence and Command portfolio seeks a highly motivated Project Manager to form part of a multi-disciplinary team to contribute to the successful delivery of the portfolio’s diverse range of projects.

As an inclusive and highly organised professional, you will actively contribute to supporting frontline police officers to keep our community safe. You will directly see the benefits of your innovative service delivery supporting police intelligence and communications across the state.

You will ensure the high-quality management of a range of corporate, communications, technology, data science projects to enhance frontline technical and tactical capability for personnel who operate in some of the most isolated, challenging and unique landscapes in the world.

THE ROLE

Project Managers are integral to the delivery of priority projects to build capacity, improve functionality and maximise the resource and investment opportunities in ways that reduce risk, cost and deliver greater value to the wider Agency.

This includes management of deliverables, oversight of capital and recurrent budgets to uphold fiscal responsibility, strategic planning, stakeholder and relationship management including with vendors and staying abreast of industry trends to make informed decisions that contribute to the advancement of the agency.

The role is responsible for strategically navigating the intersection of frontline policing, inter-agency communications, technology, trade craft and business analytics to optimise technological, human and financial resources available to enhance the operational capacity of our frontline police officers.

Provide an example of a project you have delivered where you have used your experience to engage with stakeholders, analyse their needs, research products or solutions and the management controls you implemented to successfully deliver the project. Detail how your approach helped to overcome obstacles and manage deliverables to achieve outcomes.
