About The Role:
As Senior Finance Business Partner, you will play a critical role in enabling informed decision‑making across the Department by delivering high‑quality financial advice, insight and analysis. Partnering closely with business units, you will support budget development, forecasting, resource allocation and performance monitoring within a complex and highly regulated public sector environment.
You will contribute to the coordination of the annual budget cycle, prepare and deliver management reports, and provide specialist advice on management accounting, costing and financial strategy. With a strong focus on collaboration, quality and continuous improvement, this role helps ensure business areas are empowered with timely, accurate and meaningful financial information to achieve their objectives.
About You:
You are a trusted finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business to solve problems and deliver value. With substantial experience in management accounting and budgeting within complex organisations, you bring strong analytical capability and a deep understanding of statutory financial management frameworks.
You communicate with clarity and confidence, translating complex financial information into practical insights for diverse stakeholders. Proactive and collaborative, you build strong relationships, adapt to change and take ownership of delivering high‑quality outcomes. You are motivated by continuous improvement, value learning and feedback, and thrive in an environment where integrity, accountability and respect guide how work gets done.
The position operates in Personal Leadership context. This means that you are required to demonstrate personal accountability for delivering excellence and support your team and agency in delivering strategic goals. You will be expected to build and nurture relationships and be willing to seek feedback and learn.
