This is a Permanent, Full-Time position working 76
hours per fortnight. This position is based in the Perth
CBD.

Position Profile: We are currently seeking a
dynamic and enthusiastic individual to appoint to a Clinical Nurse
Manager (Outpatients) working at Next Step Drug & Alcohol Services.
The Clinical Nurse Manager (Outpatients) is responsible for the
coordination, leadership, and supervision of staff within their
remit in the Next Step Service.
In this role, the successful applicant will contribute to the
development and monitoring of standards of nursing practice,
initiating research and quality improvement activities, and
implementing changes which benefit service provision. Additionally,
the successful applicant will provide clinical and professional
expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence-based care is delivered
to consumers and coordinates day-to-day operations. The Clinical
Nurse Manager is required to practice within their scope of
practice, considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board's Nursing
Practice Decision Flowchart. Other key duties include, but are not
limited to:
- Provides and oversees highly skilled interventions in the
management and treatment of alcohol and other drug
disorders.
- Works in collaboration with the multidisciplinary teams,
providing clinical alcohol and other drug assessments and
providing advice to clinicians (including local hospitals and
non-government service providers) about the recommended
consumer management plans and facilitates transfers as
required.
- Role models a positive organisational culture in line with
EMHS vision and values.

government drug and alcohol treatment service in Western Australia
providing a range of clinical services.
The treatment services provided by Next Step include:
- Outpatient services at East Perth and via integrated
Community Alcohol and Drug Services at six metropolitan
locations
- The Inpatient Withdrawal Unit at East Perth
- An onsite pharmacy service based at East Perth
- Outpatient and inpatient youth services via the Integrated
Drug and Alcohol Youth Service.
