About
the Role
The Child and
Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is seeking an experienced leader
to join our team as Manager Finance and Business
Partnering and drive sound financial performance,
management reporting, and budget strategies that enable effective
service delivery across our health service.
Reporting to
the Director Resource Management, you will lead a team of Finance
and Business Officers in partnering with CAHS divisions and
clinical services to achieve financial, operational and activity
performance objectives.
You will
monitor and report organisational performance against financial,
FTE and activity targets, and provide expert business advice to
Directors and budget holders to support effective resource use and
evidence-based decision-making aligned with organisational
priorities.
Your ability
to develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior
executives, clinicians and operational leaders, will be key in
supporting continuous improvement and excellence in service
delivery.
As a member
of the management team within the Resource Management Directorate,
you will contribute to strategic and operational decision-making
and participate in senior-level forums focused on financial
sustainability, risk, governance and service
performance.
Key
responsibilities include:
- Leading
the development, implementation and evaluation of business
management, governance and performance improvement initiatives
across the health service portfolio.
- Developing, implementing
and monitoring budgets, performance indicators and reporting
frameworks across CAHS.
- Leading
the preparation and analysis of financial, activity and revenue
reports, recommending corrective actions where
required.
- Supporting the
development of business cases, capital expenditure proposals
and service change initiatives.
- Driving
continuous improvement in management accounting, reporting
systems and business analytics.
- Leading
benchmarking, monitoring and evaluation activities to support
performance improvement and accountability.
- Contributing to quality
improvement, risk management and governance initiatives across
the organisation.
- Support
annual reporting processes, KPI reporting and other statutory
and management reporting requirements.

experience leading teams in a similar function within a complex
organisational landscape, we encourage you to apply

within healthcare, government or similarly complex environments
will be highly regarded. Understanding of clinical activity
case-mix funding and its impact on clinical service delivery is
desirable but not required.

and Corporate Team is responsible for ensuring strong financial
governance, compliance and sustainability across CAHS, supporting
the delivery of exceptional paediatric healthcare
services.
We work
closely with clinical departments to maintain effective financial
systems, controls, reporting and resource allocation processes. Our
focus is to ensure resources are directed efficiently to support
staffing, patient care, innovation, research, and medical equipment
and technology.
Our team
plays a critical role in supporting financial and strategic
decision-making, ensuring compliance with legislative and ethical
standards, and enabling the organisation’s long-term
sustainability, growth and service excellence.
