The Delivery and Policy Division

The Delivery and Policy Division provides strategic leadership and coordination to ensure whole-of-government priorities are effectively delivered. It is structured under two Groups: Delivery Unit and Policy. Together, these functions enable the Department to provide independent, evidence-based advice and ensure alignment between Government decision making and the delivery of Government priorities. 

The Opportunity

This is an exciting time in the Department of Premier and Cabinet! We have reshaped our policy teams to set ourselves up to deliver on the Government’s priorities for the next four years: jobs, health, housing, safe and inclusive communities, environment, and infrastructure and services. To help drive this vision, the Department will play a central role in coordinating delivery across government.

Are you a highly organised professional ready to shape the future of Western Australia? The Department of the Premier and Cabinet is seeking motivated and talented individuals to join our high-performing Delivery and Policy Division.

In this critical central agency role, you will act as a vital coordination link between senior executives, Ministers, and key public and private stakeholders. You will directly contribute to whole-of-government priorities by delivering essential project support, managing executive briefing pipelines, and conducting research and analysis.

If you are a proactive problem solver with excellent organisational and administrative skills, an eye for quality assurance, and the ability to thrive amidst changing priorities, this role offers a unique platform to make a tangible, positive impact on the lives of all Western Australians.

We have two opportunities within the Delivery and Policy division:

Level 5: Executive Officer – working directly with the Deputy Director General, this is a fast-paced role you will provide executive and secretarial support, while also being involved in priority projects for the division.

Level 4: Senior Executive Assistant – working directly with the Group Head, you will deal with a range of high-level complex and confidential issues, while providing secretarial, executive and administrative support.

Permanent appointment:

  • To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia at the time of applying.
