About the job

A two (2) year fixed term contract with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.   

In this key role, you will partner with the organisation to deliver end-to-end procurement and efficient contract management services ensuring compliance with WA  government  procurement policies and processes, managing risk and supporting the effective development and management of medium-high risk contracts.

Reporting to the Director Procurement, this role will also support the management of the function and provide coaching and mentoring to stakeholders across the procurement lifecycle to build organisational knowledge and capability.

The role has the following key areas of focus:

  • Facilitating and managing procurement processes
  • Developing and managing contracts
  • Providing advice, guidance and effective solutions to the organisation
  • Leading the way in best practice procurement and building organisational capability
  • Managing risk and ensuring compliance with WA Government procurement requirements
  • Identifying gaps, improving efficiency, compliance, and the overall customer experience

We’re looking for

  • An effective Procurement and Contracts professional, with significant experience ideally within the WA public sector
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to manage competing deadlines
  • High level conceptual, analytical and problems solving skills with the ability to interpret legislation, policies and procedures and apply them in a complex environment
  • A natural leader who can coach and develop colleagues and stakeholders
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to produce quality outcomes and deal with a diverse range of stakeholders
