We offer individualised and practical primary and secondary educational programs, covering all curriculum areas, allowing for all students’ social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. We work closely with families, therapists, specialists and agencies to ensure wholistic approach towards every individual with complex needs. Our school community is positive and caring, supporting students, their parents, and the local community members to achieve common goals.

Gladys Newton School has embraced its shared vision of “Educating for a brighter future” in all aspects of its operation. Our commitment to achieving our purpose and priorities is enhanced by our core Values: Flexibility, Uniqueness, Teamwork, Understanding, Respect and Excellence (FUTURE).

The school is often visited by former students who share their fond memories with us.

Suitable applicants will ideally use explicit teaching strategies and exhibit effective classroom management skills to enhance student learning and wellbeing. Applicants should ideally also be flexible, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to professional learning and a high-level of participation in collaborative team planning. They should plan, program and assess using an integrated curriculum, differentiated to meet individual student needs. Applicants will ideally have highly effective teaching practices, an ability to self-reflect and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice.
