What is our Social
Worker role?
Selby Older
Adult Mental Health Service is 32 bed authorised hospital operating
within the NMHS Mental Health Specialities- Older Adult Mental
Health Program. The service provides specialist mental health
services to older people living in the North Metropolitan region of
Perth. This is a unique inpatient role where you can apply and
develop your skills working with mental health, dementia and all
other aspects of older adult care. As the inpatient Social Worker,
you will work within a skilled multidisciplinary team to support
mental health assessment, treatment and discharge planning for a
designated sub-acute caseload. You will be responsible for
completing psychosocial assessments, interventions and discharge
planning to a designated caseload in the Social Work team, with
support from a Welfare Officer. Be part of a dynamic
multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, OT,
physiotherapy, neuropsychology, speech pathology, welfare officers
and allied health assistants.
