About the role

This role is responsible for overseeing and monitoring signalling works across major transport infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with contract conditions, safety requirements and technical standards. You will conduct inspections, audits and contractor surveillance activities both on-site and off-site to ensure high-quality delivery of signalling systems

Working within the Network & Infrastructure division, you will provide technical guidance and support in the inspection, testing, commissioning and maintenance of signalling systems. You will review contractor methodologies and Rail Safety Plans, monitor progress and quality, and ensure works are completed in accordance with PTA standards and procedures.

You will also play a key role in risk identification and mitigation, contract administration and stakeholder coordination. This includes contributing to progress reporting, assessing contractor performance and claims, and ensuring accurate asset records are delivered for ongoing maintenance and asset management purposes

About You!

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A current WA ‘A’ Grade Electrical Workers Licence with strong technical expertise in signalling systems and infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience in installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of signalling systems within a rail environment
  • Experience managing contractors and ensuring compliance with contractual, safety and operational requirements
  • Well-developed analytical, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and manage competing priorities
