The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Child Safety Practitioner to join our team, working across child protection, children in care, and family support services. In this role, you will respond to concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of children, applying the provisions of the Children and Community Services Act 2004.

You will undertake complex casework, investigate welfare concerns, and, where necessary, initiate legal action to safeguard children. The position also involves providing direct services to children in the care of the CEO, ensuring their safety, stability, and overall wellbeing.

As a Senior Child Safety Practitioner, you will provide expert advice and guidance to district staff on child protection matters, supporting informed decision-making and best practice. You will collaborate with colleagues, families, and community stakeholders to strengthen family capacity and promote safe environments for children and vulnerable individuals.

This role requires maintaining a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children through responsive, evidence-based practice and proactive community engagement.

Qualification Requirements
You must have a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant human services area to be eligible for this position. All overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency. Refer to our website for information about the qualification requirements for this role, and how we will be assessing your qualifications.
