About the role
The Escort Officer - Infrastructure is responsible for the security of construction sites at prison premises; facilitating the entry, exit and escort of all visitors and their equipment while conducting security checks in accordance with prison operations.
Fixed term contract opportunities will arise as capital work projects commence. As a result, commencement and duration of contracts will vary between projects and will be offered on an as required basis. No permanent positions will be offered after the duration of the projects.
Previous experience in a custodial or prison setting though not essential to undertake this role, would be highly regarded.
Eligibility
VSO Advertising - Demonstrated experience within a security role is essential.
WWC positions (Applicable to Banksia Hill Detention Centre) – In accordance with the National Child Safety Principles, people who work directly with children and young people, you must have a current Working with Children Check or be able to successfully apply for one to be eligible for appointment to this position.
