We are looking
for a highly experienced Aboriginal Health Project Consultant to
support our Graylands Reconfiguration and Forensic Project (GRAFP)
team in delivering key development projects which will improve
healthcare infrastructure for all Western Australians.
We have one (1)
vacancy for up to Full-time (76 hrs / fortnight or pro
rata),
Fixed Term
appointment for an initial 12 months, with the possibility of
extension(s).

Project
Background and Position Description
The Graylands
Reconfiguration and Forensic Project encompasses all activities
related to the Reconfiguration of the Graylands site and includes
the Graylands Campus Project (GCP), which is the first major phase
of the reconfiguration. GCP scope includes:
- A 32 bed
male adult forensic inpatient unit
- An 8 bed
child and adolescent forensic inpatient unit
- Integrated adult patient
services and rehabilitation centre (the hub)
- Secure
perimeter, associated road works and site works
This program represents a
significant opportunity to improve contemporary services to meet
the needs of Western Australians living with mental health issues,
now and in the future.
What
is our Aboriginal Health Project Consultant
role?
This position leads
engagement to identify needs of Aboriginal people to inform and
shape new health facilities and services to enable the provision of
culturally safe health care. Cultivates partnerships between
Aboriginal and other healthcare workers and organisations to assist
in the planning and development of culturally appropriate mental
health care for Aboriginal people and their families. Supports
the work of the GRAFP team across all workstreams and
deliverables.
