The Opportunity

As a Procurement Officer you will provide professional procurement advice to staff across the Department for all types of procurement including goods, services, community services and grants. You will work closely with stakeholders, Contract Managers and teams to ensure compliance with state and the Department of Communities policies, standards, processes and procedures.

In this position you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Supporting business planning delivery, providing evidence-based procurement advice, and planing procurement activities to meet deadlines.
  • Leading and supporting procurement processes, including tendering, contract development, negotiations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Offering guidance on procurement, contracts, grants, extensions, and variations.
  • Contributing to policy and process improvements, and maintaining accurate procurement and contract records in relevant systems.
  • Preparing reports, briefings, and ministerial responses, while actively supporting organisational change.
