Registrar - Trainee - Pain Medicine
This
is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 6
or 12 months with the possibility of extension(s).
Suitable
applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be
made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made
from this pool until 02/11/2026. Appointments for this
position will not commence until 2027.
Salary: MP
Year 1-7 $128,760 - $175,802 p.a. (plus 12% superannuation and
professional development allowance)
Position Profile:
The Pain Medicine training programme
is state-wide, encompassing the major teaching hospitals, namely
Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group, Fiona Stanley
Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital. Over the course of the year,
trainees may rotate to a number of these sites. This enables all
trainees to experience the whole spectrum of the
specialty.

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital
(SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching
tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical
Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive
range of clinical service including trauma, emergency and critical
care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery and cardiac
care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the
largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's
principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver
transplants.
Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) provides specialist
health care services for the community in the north metropolitan
area and is located in Stirling, 14 kilometres from the Perth
central business district. The hospital provides a comprehensive
range of specialist health care services for the north metropolitan
suburbs. The services at OPH are provided by three main specialties
consisting of Rehabilitation and Aged Care Services and Younger
Adult Rehabilitation, Surgical Services and Women’s & Newborn
Services. Each of these specialties has a dedicated Allied Health
Services Team.
Fiona Stanley
Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital
offering a range of health services including the State
rehabilitation service, a comprehensive cancer centre,
purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and
neonatal services, and the State adult burns service. FSH is the
site of the state allogeneic transplant centre and haemophilia
unit.
Royal Perth Hospital
(RPH) is a 450-bed tertiary hospital focused on
providing a range of complex and elective surgeries for adults.
Home to the State major adult trauma centre, RPH offers
tertiary-level emergency medicine, mental health and specialist
medical services. It is also a premier teaching hospital and
contribute to innovation and excellence in medical research and
patient care.
