Position
Profile: Clinical Nurse Manager - Perioperative
We are
seeking a suitable candidate who will be responsible for the
management of nursing and technical personnel, standards of
practice, patient care delivery, human and material resources
for the provision of safe and cost effective care within the
surgical services directorate, comprising of theatres, CSSD and
Day of Surgery Unit. The occupant of this position is required
to demonstrate a positive commitment to modelling our
organisational values, safety and quality improvement and the
Code of Conduct in all aspects of their employment. Compliance
with all relevant policies, procedures, standards and
legislation including Confidentiality and Work Health and
Safety policies is mandatory.
We are
looking for a Clinical Nurse Manager – Perioperative to provide
clinical leadership, expertise and consultancy to nursing, medical
and allied health care professionals and providers in the areas of
perioperative, DOSA and CSSD.
To be
successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated advanced
clinical knowledge and experience in delivering evidence-based
nursing care, incorporating quality improvement and risk
management principles within a surgical services
environment.
- Proven,
well-developed clinical leadership skills, including the
ability to lead and implement change within a complex
healthcare setting.Strong capability in managing human,
material, and environmental resources to ensure the delivery of
safe, high-quality, consumer-centred patient care.
- Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively
negotiate, influence, and resolve conflict.
- Highly
developed computer literacy, including proficiency in data
entry, manipulation of online information, use of health
information systems, navigation of organisational policies, and
completion of online training modules.
- Sound
understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory
frameworks, including Equal Opportunity, Disability Services,
and Occupational Safety and Health, and their application to
employment practices, people management, and service
delivery.
