This role is based a the Perth Chilrens's Hospital (PCH) and at
the Children's Hospice (Swanbourne) with occassional travel to
other community based sites within the Metropolitan area.
Position
Profile
The Child and Adolescent Health Service is seeking an
experienced Audio Visual Technician & Telehealth
Coordinator to join CAHS Virtual Health team and provide
direct support to the Paediatric Palliative Care and Children’s
Hospice Service team.
This autonomous position involves a combination of planned
onsite support, incident response, asset management, and technical
coordination. Working closely with clinicians, telehealth
coordinators, patients, and families, you will ensure audiovisual,
and telehealth systems operate effectively and reliably to support
the delivery of high-quality clinical care, education, and health
service operations.
You will also contribute to the ongoing development and
enhancement of telehealth and audiovisual services that support
staff training and education, communication and collaboration
across CAHS services.
As the Children's Hospice is a new facility, you will play a key
role ensuring audiovisual systems, telehealth platforms, and
connectivity services operate effectively. You will support
clinicians, patients, and families as they become familiar with new
equipment and technology by providing technical assistance,
troubleshooting technical issues, developing room setup
documentation and quick-reference user guides, and delivering user
training.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting clinicians in the delivery of telehealth
consultations by conducting sound checks and equipment testing
prior to meetings and clinical sessions and providing advice
regarding telehealth capabilities and suitability.
- Maintaining the AV support queue and inventory of
telehealth resources.
- Managing AV set-up, troubleshooting and technical support
for telehealth bookings, - liaising with clinicians, staff,
patients and families to ensure services are coordinated
effectively.
- Assisting with training staff in audio-visual and
telehealth systems and contributing to the development of
training resources.
- Collecting, analysing and reporting on AV and telehealth
activity data.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to integrate
telehealth into routine clinical, education and operational
activities.
- Providing support across CAHS metropolitan sites as
required.

Our environment utilises Crestron technologies,
including control systems and multi-endpoint audio and video
distribution, as well as Q-SYS audio and control
systems.
Experience and knowledge in the following areas will be highly
regarded:
- Device IP addressing and network configuration
- Multicast video streaming
- Audio Visual over IP (AVoIP) within large corporate
networks
- Supporting AV installations across complex corporate
environments
- ITIL 4 and IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and
processes
- Experience with incident management and asset
management

Australian coast, offers statewide specialist paediatric palliative

living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their
families.
This state-of-the-art, 7-bed facility will be the first of its
kind in Western Australia, providing specialised palliative care
for children living with life limiting conditions aged from birth
to 18 years within a peaceful, home-like setting that prioritises
comfort, dignity and connection.
