This vacancy is for a Permanent
Full-Time appointment of 76 hrs per fortnight.
An exciting opportunity
for a suitably experienced and enthusiastic clinician to join the
Palliative Care Program to provide clinical expertise, education,
support and guidance as an integral member of the WACHS
team.
The Palliative Care Program is continuing to develop and expand
regional community palliative care services, improving the equity
of access to quality palliative care through innovative models of
care and providing governance for services in rural and remote
communities.
To be successful, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in competency-based program
development, implementation, evaluation and assessment of
clinicians.
- Experience in planning, coordination and evaluation of
education programs.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and effective management of
fiscal/human/material resources.
- Demonstrated experience with research and policy
development experience.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal and written
communication skills.
- Demonstrated application of quality and risk management
principles in day-to-day activities.
Position Profile: This position will progress
education, development strategies, programs and clinical research
to maintain and improve clinical standards, quality of patient care
and staff professional development within for the Palliative Care
Program, and is responsible for, in a planned and systematic way,
the coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of
assigned programs across the multidisciplinary Palliative Care
Program.

Area Profile
The WACHS Palliative Care Program is a comprehensive specialist
palliative care service in rural and remote Western Australia (WA)
and is improving equity of access and end of life choices for
country WA. The program is dedicated to expanding services in rural
and regional WA and providing care closer to home through improving
and increasing community based palliative care services, provision
of in-home palliative care support, developing and expanding
innovative Telehealth services and the delivery of culturally
respectful care for Aboriginal people and their families in their
place of choice.
