Lead with integrity. Navigate complexity. Shape the future of workforce.
The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DMTI) is a diverse organisation dedicated to delivering safe, integrated transport services and transformative infrastructure projects for the Western Australian community. We are a values-driven organisation that empowers our people through inclusive workplaces, responsive systems, and a strong commitment to Collaboration, Wellbeing, Adaptability, and Accountability.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned and people‑centred Director Workforce Management to join our People and Culture team. This role offers a rare opportunity to put your stamp on enterprise‑wide workforce strategy, leading with integrity, emotional intelligence and commercial insight in a complex, evolving environment.

A key challenge in this role will be leading experienced leaders and aligning multiple workforce functions to deliver a clear, enterprise-wide strategic direction in an environment where priorities are competing, stakeholder expectations are high, and not all variables or information are known. Success will require the ability to navigate ambiguity, apply deep professional expertise to complex and often sensitive issues, and build strong, strategic partnerships across the organisation to influence outcomes and drive sustainable change.
This is a permanent opportunity. Suitable applicants through this process may receive further offers of employment in this or similar roles for a period of 12 months.
