The Role

The successful applicant will support the coordination and delivery of our student support programs, helping to ensure it is responsive to the needs of Aboriginal students, their families, and school staff. You would contribute to the development and implementation of effective systems and intervention strategies, while also providing practical advice to teachers on approaches that support Aboriginal student engagement and learning, including facilitating group work where appropriate.

The successful applicant would contribute to case management, provide social and emotional support, and assist in crisis response, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment. As part of the Student Wellbeing team, you will encourage and support students to engage meaningfully in their education and achieve their personal goals, while also supporting staff to create and maintain safe and inclusive learning environments

The successful applicant would strengthen existing partnerships and build new relationships between the College and community groups, government agencies, and non-government organisations to enhance outcomes for our Aboriginal students.

The successful applicant will ideally possess excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders. Strong organisational skills, cultural responsiveness, and a genuine commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive school community are highly desirable.
