About the role
We are seeking to create a pool of System Support Officers to provide specialist application and system support services across the State Solicitor's Office (the Office), ensuring business systems operate effectively, reliably and in line with agreed service standards. This role investigates and resolves system issues in collaboration with users, supports testing and upgrades, and delivers training to ensure systems are used effectively across the Office.
Working within Corporate Services, you will play a key role in supporting the technology that underpins the delivery of legal services, contributing to system improvements, projects and initiatives that enhance organisational capability.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Experience providing effective application and system support services, including system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting and reporting within a business environment.
- Analytical skills with the ability to investigate system issues, exercise sound judgement and collaborate with users to identify practical solutions and resolve problems within agreed timeframes.
- Proven capability in developing, executing and documenting test plans to support system updates, upgrades and enhancements, ensuring changes are implemented smoothly and reliably.
- Experience delivering system training and user support, including developing and maintaining clear, user‑focused and operational documentation.
- A proactive and improvement‑focused approach, with experience contributing to projects, continuous improvement initiatives and the development of information technology policies and strategies.
